Another little cd review I knocked up for The Northern Star. This one is Twin Shadow’s second album Confess. A favourite of mine was the single Five Seconds which you can watch here.

Did a cd review on Passion Pit’s new album Gossamer. A catchy electro-pop album that follows up strongly from their Manners album in 2009. Plenty of hooks, synths and dreamy summer vibes.

FRANK OCEAN
Did this little album review of Frank Ocean’s debut release Channel Orange. Has to be one of my favourite releases of 2012 thus far, Ocean has taken R’n’B to new heights and beyond. Check out his mixtape Nostalgia Ultra as well.

After a frantic week chasing Illy down I managed to pen this feature article out in The Northern Star today. A great guy, very passionate, and excited about his new album and subsequent tour. Illy will be in Byron playing at The Great Northern Hotel August 11.

Last Friday Sydney alt rock band Cameras stopped in Byron as part of their national tour. They sure did impress. Here’s my review published in the The Northern Star today.
